Critique

Key Focal Points

- Underground Scene - maps
- Puerto Rico 1880
- Latin America
- Flower
- Censored
- Pixelated

Further considerations:

- Focus on the Spanish element or heritage
- What was Puerto Rico liked in the 90s
- What was censored
- 'Underground' maps of the venues
- Strips hiding thing to show censorship
- Could the pink pattern be a simplified rose
- Flag printed over rude words or lyrics
- Find images of crime in Puerto Rico and censor elements like the gun
- Look into what Gonzales classed as appropriate and not
- Object could be lyrics in frame with, pen made in Puerto Rico or Spanish colours used to interact and censor lyrics

Why?

To push the censored idea further but consider other contextual links such as crime in Puerto Rico or the underground scene. Experiment with further ways to visualise this. The colour scheme of red and yellow works well to represent Spanish heritage.

Also need to consider what bright colours work best to censor the image. Further research into Gonzales might inspire further ideas about censoring and offer new approaches to the idea of censored design.
