Experimenting with different binding techniques helped me to consider what technique would work best for my publications. Or if I was going to use a range of techniques in the curation of the publications. The images below show the making process of three binding techniques, pamphlet stitch, Japanese or stab stitch and concertina binding.
The concertina binding probably had the nicest finish and the most interesting style and concept with the style of repeating folds. Although the stitch binding techniques have a nice handmade style and could add a practical sense of character to a publication. I will experiment with these techniques through further developments of my publications.
