After the Presentation

CONCEPT

The concept was based on the format of a cassette but we have a range of key ideas associated with a cassette including:

- Side A & B
- Layout of a cassette
- Cassette audio elements - play, pause, fast forward
- Layout uses a JCard as a grid

BRANDING STRATEGY

The brand follows a range of rules, each justified by some format of the cassette.  However this was too many to represent and visualise the brand. There wasn't a refined clear idea.

COLLATERAL

LOGOTYPE
Didn't relate to the brand enough a bolder clearer type would have been more appropriate

TYPEFACE
A body typeface would have been more effective there were too many different variations which also couldn't be used in small scale or body format text.

SOCIAL MEDIA
Was effective with the countdown but didn't give enough insight into the work. However, this could be resolved when some previews of the work is available. The Hashtag and account is good because it is locatable on a vast scale by the hashtag Leeds and students.

POSTER
Worked well but does not match the style of the stickers and social media. This could be resolved by making the poster entirely from stickers.

INVITES
Match the aesthetic of the poster but need to have a bolder aesthetic with the type and imagery could be the stickers

EXHIBITION PLAN
The exhibition plan was fitting and successful and related to the concept

CATALOGUE
The catalogue matched the poster and invite aesthetic, but we decided after peer feedback the sticker approach worked better. So this could be refined to a single colour format or black and white print on coloured paper, cutting the costs.

COSTINGS
If we developed the branding the stickers are cheap to produce making the branding cost effective.
